Confers formally and informally with other team members in coordinating the total medical care of the patient.Helps to facilitate discharge planning with medical/clinical professional staff.Support the medical teams in patient care planning process communication to the patient and family and other professionals as appropriate.Coordination and oversight of new referrals and compliance with billing procedures and systems.Establishes inpatient patient schedules in conjunction with other team members.Facilitate and assist in appropriate documentation of patient visits to ensure timely treatment, coordination of care, documentation and regulatory compliance.The medical scribe responsibilities include ensuring that patients are scheduled, critical information is collected, evaluation and management is completed in accordance with established policies, and the highest degree of quality patient care is executed. This individual works in close collaboration with the medical team members, nursing staff, patients and customers to ensure optimal clinical scheduling and documentation of day to day operations. The Medical Scribe is a unique position that supports the Medical team in their efficiency of patient care by rounding daily with physicians and nurse practitioners.
